I am a fully qualified Integrative counsellor, an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am also a member of CCYP Counselling Children and Young People.
Of central importance to my work is respect for confidentiality and to work within ethical standards set out by BACP. I am committed to on-going professional development and frequently attend courses to enhance my work .
I trained as an integrative counsellor, studying various therapeutic methodology. This means that I am able to mould my approach around a particular client's needs with sensitivity and flexibility.
As everybody is different in their needs and their approach to life, an integrative approach enables me to work with a variety of issues, where the quality of the relationship between client and counsellor is central to the counselling process. I provide all of my clients with a warm, confidential and non-judgmental space, always allowing the client to guide me in providing the right kind of support. Some clients may find it helpful to explore their past, especially their childhood experience. I integrate my theoretical knowledge and tailor each session to match each clients unique needs. I fundamentally believe that the client is the expert on themselves.
I offer open ended and short term counselling depending on the clients individual needs. I have experience working with individuals of all ages including children and adolescents.
